Kenney Jones Reveals That Faces Has Recorded ‘About 14 Songs’

They’re Planning Their Shows Too

A month ago, it was reported that Faces members Ronnie Wood, Rod Stewart, and Kenney Jones have reunited to record new music after four decades. In a new interview with BANG Showbiz (via Contact Music), Jones revealed that they’ve already recorded 14 songs since the band reformed.

“We’ve done about 14 songs, it’s a mixture of stuff we never released which is worthy of releasing and there’s some new stuff which is really wonderful,” Jones shared. “Rod is writing the lyrics and he’s really keen on it.”

He also added that they’re planning arena shows.

“Whether or not we’re going to go on a big extended tour remains to be seen,” he explained. “What we have decided is to do some really big gigs like [London’s] The O2, Madison Square Garden, some other big venues in America. Nothing elaborate on stage, just bring back the Faces live.”

Faces formed in 1969, rising from the ashes of Small Faces. They disbanded in 1975 after Stewart left to pursue a solo career. They recorded a total of four studio albums, the last of which was 1973’s “Ooh La La”. The trio reunited on stage at the 2020 BRIT Awards and performed “Stay With Me”.
