It’s no secret that world class guitarist Joe Bonamassa was fiercely influenced by the late Stevie Ray Vaughan growing up – so much, in fact, that Bonamassa’s included some of Stevie’s work as part of his own repertoire, including this fun little backstage warm up! Hanging out backstage after a show, Joe gave his fans a huge treat when he picked up his guitar and began tearing his way through Stevie’s ‘Rude Mood’ – the fun little blues shuffle that’s as technical as it is rowdy, and if anyone could make it look effortless, it’s Joe!

Fun Fact: ‘Rude Mood’ was written by Stevie Ray Vaughan in 1982 and is a blues shuffle modeled after Lightnin’ Hopkins’ song, ‘Hopkins’ Sky Hop’.

There’s nothing we love more than seeing Joe relaxed and in his element, just playing for his iPhone and his Facebook followers. He may call it “subtle playing”, but there’s nothing subtle about how fantastic this little impromptu performance was!
