The Solo That Stunned All
On July 23, 1973, when Led Zep was ruling the world, Jimmy Page performed one of the most amazing guitar solos in the history of Rock at Madison Square Garden for more than 7 minutes on his “Number One” Les Paul. To their classic hit “Dazed and Confused“ Plant, Bonham and Jones let Page ultimately steal the song with this epic and life changing solo.
Interesting Fact: Page performed this with The Yardbirds with different lyrics as “I’m Confused.”
The best part is how easy he makes it look as he hits just about every single chord possible and melts the faces of the fans in at least the first 15 rows. Page has always been recognized as one of the strongest guitarists Rock has ever birthed and always displayed the deepest part of his soul on his sleeve as he shredded his way through life and his career.
Just when you think Page could not possibly top himself, he strikes chords that you may have never even heard before in this set and Robert Plant cannot get enough of it.
One of the best things about Page? He had and still does have fun with it.
