Glenn Frey Of The Eagles, Has Passed Away At 67
We are saddened by the news of Glenn Frey’s passing today January 18th, from complications of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia. Frey had actually been fighting intestinal issues for a few months now.
As one of the founding members of the band, Frey played guitar, keyboard, and even vocals for some of the bands biggest hits including “Take It Easy” and “Tequila Sunrise”. The band is considered one of the most successful of all time, having sold over 100 million records worldwide.
His family had released a statement on the Eagles’ website:
“Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia. The Frey family would like to thank everyone who joined Glenn to fight this fight and hoped and prayed for his recovery. Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide.”
