Bon Jovi has announced an audition, giving chance for local bands across the country to perform as opening acts on the much awaited Bon Jovi 2022 Tour.
One local band will be selected for each tour date. Bon Jovi is encouraging local bands to submit an audition video of original music for the chance to open for the them at a concert stop on the tour.
The Bon Jovi 2022 Tour will kick off this spring in arenas nationwide. The trek starts on April 1st in Omaha with stops in Milwaukee, Tampa, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Houston, Dallas and others before wrapping up on the April 30th show in Nashville. The tour is produced by Live Nation and JBJ’s Hampton Water.
Since the coronavirus pandemic caused a downtime for live music, local bands have lost opportunities to perform on stage. Thus, Bon Jovi hope to help some of those bands make up for lost time with a once-in-a-lifetime shot to perform on a major tour.
During the past two years, Bon Jovi spent much of his time recording and releasing new music, while also creating livestream performance content and launching Bon Jovi radio for their fans. Bon Jovi’s 2020 album was one of the most critically acclaimed record releases of that year.
Frontman Jon Bon Jovi said in a statement:
“We have all missed touring and we know that nothing can replace the energy of a live show for the fans or the band.”
Tickets for the Bon Jovi 2022 Tour are on sale now via the artist’s website. For more information and to upload an audition submission, visit www.bonjovi.com.
