Won’t Let Time Pass Us By!
“Fly Away from Here” was written by Marti Frederiksen and Todd Chapman. It was released on June 2, 2001 for Aerosmith’s 13th studio album “Just Push Play.” This power ballad topped the charts in Israel for four weeks!
It failed to make a significant impact on the charts, but did receive some airplay on adult contemporary varieties.
The lyrics tell the story of wanting to get away with a loved one. The music video for the song featured Steven Tyler’s daughter Chelsea alongside Jessica Biel. It had a futuristic vibe to it and was directed by Joseph Kahn.
The song is also featured in a slideshow of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Nothing but the best from Tyler and the boys!
